A look into today's media and you will be overwhelmed by the diversity of the information overload you will receive, but what form of information overload is there in today's media?tabloids, advertisements and maybe snippets of real news at the least…gossip sells, tabloids are roaring trades of media and scandalous photos are just some of the things that keep that cash register going "ka-ching"...
Basically just look at the newspapers today...saddam humiliated in his bathrobe scrubbing his underwear in a basin of water..is this the news we want?what do we expect from publishing such photographs anyway? A chance to redeem ourselves that we caught the correct man and he deserves to be humiliated publically?or do we expect outrage from the community in Iraq? They were the past, he was their past, what more can we derive from degrading a past?
Another such case, newsweek publishing that at the Guantanamo prison and the Koran abuse to incite prisoners to speak out….and then later they retracted their publication saying it was not true…what is the truth in todays news anyway...of everything we read and remember…what we are interested in…are these truths of the world we live in or untruths of the world we seek to live in?
